That’s what we in the biz like to call White Saturday.
It's a beautiful crisp morning in Squaw Valley with lots of sun and fresh snow on the ground. The mountain picked up 2 feet of snow Thursday through Saturday and the snow guns are still firing on Red Dog as of this morning.

One of my favorite things about the Tahoe area is that you can make almost any ride longer or shorter without sacrificing the riding experience. Yesterday I got a lunch time mountain bike ride in on a stretch of the Western States trail sometimes called three bridges.
In the spirit of not taking yourself seriously, competitors did not hold back at this year’s Pain McShlonkey Classic. The event was a huge success and is an annual ode to Squaw Valley legend Shane McConkey. I thought I would share some of the madness that went down this weekend.

Reunited and it feels so good! The snow finally came and fell upon our lovely valley. We received 60” in fact. Yesterday was my first powder day of the season and I could not have been happier! I rode up the Funitel like a 5 year old child, practically jumping out of the cabin as the doors swung open. There I was, greeted with fresh snow.
