We picked up 4 inches of snow up top from the storm on Sunday freshening up the mountain.
Today we will warm up back near 50 degrees but it's quick as the next storm approaches on Tuesday.
Some high clouds already moving in this morning ahead of tomorrow's storm. That will keep down temps today, so they may struggle to hit 50 if the clouds continue to thicken. It will be breezy as well so with the wind chill the temperatures up on the mountain may be a little chilly.
The system for Sunday will try to pull in some moisture from a low sitting East of Hawaii. The ridge is trying to build back in off the coast at the same time so the the moisture feed looks limited.
Some positive changes in the forecast this morning. The last several forecast model runs have come in line with the thinking of bringing the storm further South on Sunday. Also, better consensus on the storm for next Wednesday.
Nice weather this week and Spring skiing will be on tap by this weekend with temperatures up into the 50s Thursday through Saturday.

It is windy up high this morning as a storm is moving through the Pacific Northwest. We have a pattern change this week after a week of colder and snow showery weather.
The conditions were pretty good yesterday morning with some fressh snow on top of soft groomers. Obviously it has been a long time since we have had a big powder day, but considering the big storm drought the conditions are good.
A little suprise this morning of a fresh inch of snow. We were only expecting up to a dusting from the weak short wave moving through this morning. That brings the 3 day total to 7 inches. If only that could be our luck with the bigger storms.

We hope you'll enjoy reliving some of the season. We'll miss skiing and riding but will content ourselves with hiking, biking, Lake Tahoe, golf, kayaking, and enjoying these majestic mountains. The 23rd Annual Cushing Crossing will be the best event of the spring season. The original pond skimming event that started a spring resort ritual. Every year we gather a celebrity judging panel and amazing emcee's for this spectacle. Filled with big spills and laughable thrills this is one spring event that you don't want to miss.
Registration for this event is $20 and is limited to 50 entrants. Lift ticket not required for entry.
