About Bob Horvath and the Flying Doctors...
Bob Horvath is a 64 year old local entrepreneur/engineer who flies his twin engine private plane into remote villages of Mexico where Los Medicos Voladores (Flying Doctors) provide free medical services to its inhabitants. Los Medicos Voladores has been providing medical services since 1978 and Bob has flown missions (33 missions total) since 1994. Bob carried the Olympic torch through Truckee for the 2000 winter Olympics in honor of 6 Los Medicoes volunteers who perished in a plane crash.
