You can pick up your rental equipment as early as 3pm the day before your First Time Adult Group Lesson. Both of Squaw’s expansive Rental and Demo Centers open daily at 8:30am.
First Time Adult Group Lessons are for guests 13 years of age and older, guests 12 years of age and younger are required sign up for a Squaw Kids Group Lesson or a Private Lesson. For adults who wish to discover a new sport
with children younger than 12 we recommend a Private Lesson which can accommodate up to 5 persons.
Individuals attending a First Time Adult Group Lesson may leave whenever they want, however instructors are required to stay with the rest of the group. For the best experience on your first day we suggest you plan on
staying with your instructor for the duration of the lesson. Start and end times are designed to allow parents/guardians ample time to drop off and pick up children attending a Squaw Kids Lesson.
Lunch is not included. We suggest guests have at least $15 on hand for food and beverages for the day. If guests prefer to pack a lunch we encourage that they bring it with them to the start of the lesson, as the group may not
return to the village till the end of the day.
Yes, your instructor stays with you the entire day. The time and place of your lunch break will be determined the day of by the group and your instructor, although we suggest you plan on staying with your group for the entire day, if you need to meet up with guests outside of the lesson please let your instructor know at the beginning of the day
We encourage guests to take breaks whenever needed. If you need a break other than ones taken by the group simply let your instructor know and determine a place that you will meet back up. Your instructor will familiarize
you with restroom locations at the beginning of the lesson.
We recommend guests wear waterproof pants, gloves, and jacket, as well as a warm hat, goggles, and tall socks. Weather can change quickly and is often very different from the village to the upper mountain, so we suggest
guests dress in layers so they can adjust to changing conditions. Sunscreen and lip balm are also necessary to protect your skin from sun and wind burn. Although we recommend guest are fully prepared prior to arrival, items
are available throughout the village at Squaws many retail venues.
Reservations may be cancelled or changed by 1:00pm the day prior to the lesson start time. First Time Adult Group Lessons cancelled or changed after 1pm the day prior may incur a $15 fee.
Yes, this ensures you a spot in a First Time Group Lesson on the day you want it. Reservations save you time the morning of you lesson. In addition, guests purchasing an Adult Group Lesson 3 days in advance receive $10 off the regular purchase price. For reservations, call us at (800) 403-0206.
Due to the high volume of people in group lessons we cannot ensure that you will be working with instructor of your choice. However, instructors may be requested when reserving a private lesson. For private lesson reservations, call us at (530) 581-8200 or (800) 403-0206.
We suggest that guests arrive to their lesson meeting area ready to go at least 15 minutes prior to the start time. If rentals are needed allow at least 1 hour for fitting and up to 1.5 hours on peak holiday periods. Our Rental and Demo Center opens at 8:30am, daily.

Reservations may be cancelled or changed before 1:00pm the day prior to the lesson start time. There will be a $15 charge for cancellations made between 1pm and 5pm the day prior to the reservation. Cancellations received after 5pm the day prior to the reservation or a no call/no show will be subject to the full charge. Reservations cancelled after the start of the lesson will be considered a no show.
