Disc Golf

The Aerial Tram is your ticket to Squaw's 18-hole disc golf course. There is no fee for playing our panoramic disc golf course-you will need to use your 2014-15 season pass or purchase a Tram ticket to ride the tram. The views from the course are panoramic of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Sierra Nevada. Disc golfers can bring their own discs or purchase a set at the High Camp Sports Shop.

11am-4pm Daily | Tues, Fri, Sat Open Until 5pm

Squaw Disc-Golf Course

Squaw’s disc golf course includes three beginner holes at High Camp for those looking to get a feel for the game and fifteen extreme holes that wind down Shirley Canyon and back up. Both courses start at hole #1, located next to High Camp.

Holes 1, 2, 18 are considered our beginner Disc Golf course.  Holes 3-17 are advanced. Not only is the play advanced, but the hike is advanced as well.  Plan to spend an average of 3.5 hours playing the advanced course.  Be sure to bring water and extra clothing layers.

What is Disc Golf?

Disc golf is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, players use a flying disc. The sport shares with "ball golf" the object of completing each hole in the fewest number of strokes (or, in the case of disc golf, fewest number of throws). The trees, shrubs, and terrain changes around the fairways provide challenging obstacles for the golfer. Finally, the "putt" lands in the basket and the hole is completed.
