Snow in Feet This Week to Keep Conditions Great Through April

This will be my last weather post of the season but it's an exciting one as we have a lot of snow on the way this week. It looks like we will continue to have great conditions here in April after a great March.
Squaw Has Picked Up 166 inches In March with More on the Way

After a break on Friday the snow will return Saturday as a strong cold front moves through. Currently it looks like 8-12 inches possible at the base and up to 18 inches up top through Saturday night. There could be a little rain at the base Saturday morning before the snow levels drop with the cold front.
10-15 Inches of Snow Tuesday Night into Wednesday

March has been good to us so far and there is more snow on the way this week. Squaw had only picked up 142 inches before March and has now picked up another 137 inches in the month of March. With the snow coming Tuesday night we will double what had fallen Nov-Feb in the month of March.
8 Feet of Snow in the Past Week, More in the Forecast

Squaw ended up with a total of 8 feet over the past week. That is on top of the 3 feet from the first week of the month bringing the total for March up to 130 inches. That makes a miracle March so far as we had only picked up 142 inches for the entire season prior to March. The month isn't over yet and we will have 3 more chances at seeing a storm before the end of the month.

Thanks for joining us this season. The highlights were many. From an opening day in October to the US Alpine Championships. We've put a few of our favorite moments together in the video above. We hope you'll enjoy reliving some of the season. We'll miss skiing and riding but will content ourselves with hiking, biking, Lake Tahoe, golf, kayaking, and enjoying these majestic mountains. The 23rd Annual Cushing Crossing will be the best event of the spring season. The original pond skimming event that started a spring resort ritual. Every year we gather a celebrity judging panel and amazing emcee's for this spectacle. Filled with big spills and laughable thrills this is one spring event that you don't want to miss.
Registration for this event is $20 and is limited to 50 entrants. Lift ticket not required for entry.
