The quiet weather pattern is going to continue for another 5 days or so.  Plenty of cold air at night for snowmaking on the lower half of the mountain with inversions up top.  We are still watching the storm for the first weekend of December.

A large area of low pressure is going to move slowly towards the West Coast from the Gulf of Alaska next week.  We could see precipitation begin as early as Thursday as the first wave is pushed into the West Coast.  With the Southwesterly flow the snow levels could be high to start with snow confined to the upper half of the mountain.  The heavier precipitation slowly pushes in Friday and lasts through the weekend.  There is plenty of cold air at the center of the low pressure so as it pushes closer snow levels will fall all the way to the base over the weekend. 

There is more moisture with this storm than last weekend, maybe double, and it looks like the cold air will work in a little sooner.  Right now it looks like we could see several feet of snow on the upper half of the mountain, with plenty of snow on the lower half as well.  This is still in the 6-9 day window and confidence increases once we're in the 5 day Window.  So stay tuned for updates.
