We have colder air currently filtering in for the weekend and then we may see some precipitation next Tuesday.
The first cold front is already moving through this morning. You can feel the colder air and there is cloud cover. The cold front for tomorrow continues to track further East which means the reinforcement cold air for Saturday won't be as strong. Highs will still remain in the 40's through the weekend. Snow making conditions at night will be ideal.
As the storm track becomes active into the Pacific NW next week the forecast models continue to inch the Southern edge of the precip further South into the Tahoe Basin Tuesday/Wednesday. The latest forecast model runs show enough precip for around 6-12 inches of snow on the mountain. Way too early to count on that, but that will be something to watch the trend on over the weekend.
The long-range models continue to be all over the place. Putting all of the runs together it looks like the next shot at a storm might be around the very end of the month. Stay tuned..BA
