The picture is becoming clearer on what we will see to start next week. Say goodbye to temperatures in the 40's and 50's as highs behind the cold front Tuesday will keep us in the 20's the rest of the week.
The main snowfall will occur with the cold front on Tuesday. The trough won't dig far enough West off the coast to pull in more waves of moisture behind the front. All the forecast models this morning agree on 3-6 inches of snow for the base and 6-9 inches on the mountain Tuesday. We may see some more snow showers Wednesday or Thursday but right now no significant waves are showing up.
We will be stuck in the freezer most of the week which will keep the snow guns running with lots more terrain opening on the mountain. The next system looks like it may brush is with a little snow as it moves into the Pacific NW next weekend.
Right now no obvious setups for big snow are showing up. For now we have to be happy with the light snows and lots of cold we will get this week. Stay tuned...BA
