What is the Best Rate Guarantee?
Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows offers the best lift ticket rates on its branded websites (squaw.com, skialpine.com, estore.squaw.com, estore.skialpine.com) when the ticket is purchased at least 72 hours in advance. In the unlikely event that a lower lift ticket rate at Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows is made available on another legitimate website, upon receipt of a claim on our Claim Form that satisfies the Best Rate Guarantee Terms & Conditions (including being submitted within 48 hours of your purchase of the lift ticket), Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows will honor the lower rate by refunding you the difference.
What do you mean by “legitimate”?
Be aware that lift tickets listed for sale on Craig’s List, eBay or an individual seller’s or re-seller’s website are not legitimate. See California Panel Code Section 537 (a) – (c) for more information. Do not buy tickets from those sources.
Does the Best Rate Guarantee only apply to certain rates?
Yes. Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows’ Best Rate Guarantee applies only to published rates available to the general public for adults’ and children’s lift tickets of the same type valid at Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows’ during the current season. It does not apply to:
- Group, corporate or contracted rates
- Prices offered as part of a bundled package
- Prices offered as part of a season pass or membership benefits (e.g. The Mountain Collective), special promotion, loyalty program, fly & ski free program, sweepstakes/contest, and extended stay promotions
- Prices offered to Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows employees or employees of corporate partners
- Prices offered to military, teachers, firefighters or other government employees
For complete details, please see the Terms & Conditions.
What do you mean by “of the same type”?
The purchased ticket for Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows and the lower rate must be for exactly the same type of ticket including, without limitation, whether a one-day lift ticket or a multiple-day lift ticket, whether for an adult or child and with respect to the date of use.
How do I submit a claim?
You can submit a Claim Form here. A claim must be properly submitted to us within 48 hours after purchasing a qualifying lift ticket through the Squaw Valley or Alpine Meadow’s website (squaw.com, skialpine.com, estore.squaw.com, estore.skialpine.com). The lower rate must be available for booking at the time you properly submit the claim so our customer service representatives can independently verify the lower rate.
What is acceptable evidence of a lower rate?
Use the Claim Form. The lower rate must be available for booking by the general public at the time you properly submit the Claim Form so our customer service representatives can verify the lower rate. Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows, in its sole discretion, determines the validity of any claim and will not review documentation, other than the Claim Form, provided by the claimant as part of its validation process. Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows reserves the right to deny a claim, if it does not comply with submission requirements including if Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows customer service representatives cannot independently verify the availability of a lower rate at the time it processes the claim.
Do I need to make a purchase in order to submit a claim?
No, a purchase of another lift ticket at the lower rate (if you can find one!) is not required. Use the Claim Form to submit your claim.
Since my lift ticket was purchased in advance, if I make a valid claim, when will I receive the difference?
In the case of valid claim, because you have fully prepaid for the higher priced ticket (assuming we’ve collected the price paid via your credit or debit card), we will refund to your credit or debit card the difference between that rate and the lower rate within 30 business days of your proper submission of the claim.
