  6. Download the Squaw App and Alpine App to view the latest mountain conditions, view our interactive map, access web cams and find your friends on the slopes

Things to Do in & Around Lake Tahoe

Winter Packing List

  • Camera, charging device and card reader (so you can download your photos and not lose them). Squaw Valley has scenic mountain vistas you won’t want to miss.
  • Warm winter jacket
  • Snow pants
  • Winter boots with a sturdy heal
  • Broad spectrum sunscreen and lip balm with SPF
  • Sunglasses with at least 100% UV protection.
  • Water bottle and/or a hydration pack.
  • Layers! Sweaters, breathable t-shirts (to wick away moisture), turtleneck, long johns
  • Accessories! Hat, gloves, neck gator, goggles and your helmet
  • Warm wool ski/snowboard socks (an extra pair would be ideal)
  • Comfortable, casual clothing for wandering the town or dining out
  • Yoga clothing for the Wanderlust Yoga Studio in the Village
  • Bathing suit- for the hot tub of course!
