We picked up an inch of snow yesterday from the snow showers that fell during the evening.
That should be the last of the snow for a little while. High pressure is building in with lots of sun and high's in the 50's this weekend, then the 60's this week at the base. Temperatures normally run about 10 degrees cooler on the mountain.
The high pressure ridge will shift East and a system approaching the coast midweek will split. It now looks like all of the precip stays to our North. This was the system a week ago the models were holding together and bringing snow around the 10th.
The ridge builds back in along the West Coast next weekend for what looks to be another sunny weekend.
Long-range of the forecast models still shows unsettled weather for mid-month. Not trusting the long-range now that we are in Spring and the way the models mishandled the system for the 10th 2 weeks out. The PNA is forecast to stay slightly negative and the MJO is sitting in the Indian Ocean. There isn't much arguing against another storm or two before Easter, other than it's Spring and the jet stream is weakening. We'll see....
